Mark Holyoake

Originally from Wellington, Mark has been a gymnast since he was 6 years old. He represented New Zealand in Gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games in both 2006 and 2010, and has coached for the New Zealand Gymnastics team at World Cup events. His knowledge and experience in gymnastics has helped him adapt his coaching to the movements found within Crossfit and he has been coaching athletes since 2014. Mark has been a Crossfitter himself since 2014 and has been to the Crossfit Pacific regionals twice as part of the teams competition.

Mark is passionate about quality of movement and ensuring clients and members are aware of how and why their bodies move the way they do, as this impacts not only physical workout performance but day to day quality of life. Achieving great health through movement is a key concept for Mark, and this is what motivates him to ensure everyone is able to reach their goals.

Tila Hamad

Tila is a personal trainer and has been working in the industry for the last 7 years. She has been Crossfitting for almost 7 years and has been coaching Crossfit for the last 4 years. In 2014 she was part of a team that competed at the Crossfit Pacific regionals, and in the same year she was also the NZ National Champion in weightlifting for the under 69kg division. 

Tila believes that health is multifaceted and that the right balance of emotional/mental, physical and chemical stressors is what encompasses good health which is what she calls the ‘Health Circle’, and she uses this philosophy to help her clients reach their goals. Tila is passionate about movement and training, and understands that this needs to work in harmony within the Health Circle, which is what has motivated her to study Naturopathy to help bring these concepts together. Tila wants everyone to embrace their health journey and is driven to create a humming health hub that caters for all these components.

Mellissa Teh

Qualifications

Mel is a therapeutically qualified optometrist and has been practicing since 2008, and currently works with an ophthalmologist in private practice.

She has been in the fitness industry since 2007 as a group fitness instructor for Les Mills, teaching BodyCombat, CXWORX and GRIT. She was also part of the presenting team for BodyCombat 58 and has been a national assessor certifying other instructors in New Zealand. In 2016 Mel was invited into the Nike Trainer team for the Pacific region.

Mel has been an avid Crossfitter since 2013 and has been coaching Crossfit for the last few years. She is passionate about health and fitness, and how her example as a new mum will impact the following generations.

Adrien Rodriguez

Qualifications

BPJEPS AGFF Certificate

Originally from France, Adrien has been a keen sportsman since his youth. He studied in France at schools in both Agen and Toulouse and after leaving school studied to become a dental prosthetist. Although becoming certified in this, he found a greater passion for personal training and studied at CREPS in Toulouse. Adrien has played many sports but his primary sport has been rugby which he has played for the last 14 years. Adrien fell in love in with CrossFit after he stopped playing rugby and was head coach at CrossFit Muret before travelling to NZ. He is passionate about helping people evolve in their CrossFit training. Adrien has a goal for himself to one day compete at the CrossFit Games.

Josh Wilks

Josh started CrossFit in 2015 after 6 years of powerlifting where he won the National Champs in the Junior 105kg category. He has also spent some time playing club hockey and rugby. Josh is passionate about promoting strength training and applying that to his clinical practice. 

Josh grew up in Christchurch and moved to Auckland in 2010 for his studies. Outside of coaching and being a physio, he is a big fan of the outdoors, saunas and competing in CrossFit competition

Rob Lee

Qualifications

Physiotherapist and Director of Form Physio 
BHSc Physio, PgD MSK

After graduating Physiotherapy in 2007, Rob further developed his expertise obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2011. With a strong clinical background, Rob specializes in manual and manipulative therapy, complimented by progressive functional treatment based around individual goals and requirements.

His career has spanned the UK and Australasia, working with professional athletes and in private practice. Rob has refined his method for comprehensive Physio management through his experience with UK’s Celtic Football Club and the Wellington Phoenix.

Rob is a keen Cross Fitter and Olympic lifter, motivated by the requirements these disciplines demand. Living the philosophy of being able to adapt and change our ourselves continuously, Rob believes we should never stop striding for optimal health and never stop challenging ourselves which is reflected in his coaching.

Dan Christenhusz

Dan has been an avid sportsman since his youth playing rugby, cricket, squash & basketball. He played in a youth grade representative rugby team in Wellington. Dan started CrossFit in 2011 when he moved to Auckland and has loved it ever since. He has been coaching CrossFit for the last 5 years.

Dan works in the health industry for New Zealand’s largest health insurer. He loves coming into the gym for his own training and working with the members, getting to know them and having a great time in a positive atmosphere.

Seamus O’Loan

Qualifications

CrossFit Level 1 certification

Seamus has be en involved in CrossFit since 2014. He initially was introduced to it as a form of training to prepare him for a particular position in the New Zealand Police, and as extra training outside of Auckland Club Rugby, however CrossFit it re-ignited his love of fitness and personal training, which he studied in Hamilton in the early 2000's.

On completing his CrossFit Level 1 certification, Seamus has been passionate to further his own CrossFit skill set. He has been mentored by some great coaches, including Mark Holyoake, passing on this knowledge and advice to our members within his own coaching. Seamus loves to bring a fun relaxed environment to all of his classes.

Keri runs and owns her own personal training business in Ponsonby since 2003. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the fitness industry and was a crowd favourite as a Les Mills group fitness instructor. Keri’s passion in life is coaching and motivating people to be the very best they can be in health, fitness and in their balance of life and how that contributes to their mental health and happiness.

Keri started Crossfit in 2013 and has qualified twice for the Crossfit Age Group Qualifier, finishing both times in the top 100 athletes worldwide. She continues to be an avid Crossfitter and is now a favourite amongst CMC members for the fun and relaxed atmosphere that she creates in her classes.

Colin Girouard

Originally from the East coast of Canada, Colin found CrossFit when he was looking for a sport that filled the gap after playing American football at the University of St Francis Xavier. He was drawn to CrossFit for its high intensity functional training as well as the team atmosphere and community it fosters. The ability for the body to move and perform motivated Colin to further his education in massage therapy at Mount Royal University. 

Colin is passionate about helping people pursue their goals in fitness and reach their optimal potential. He loves to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere in his classes as well as having a good laugh.
